Moonlight Madness by Gina Blake

(about this author)

  • Burned-out executive Matthew Turner is more than ready for some R & R at a rented cabin on a solitary beach. The only thing missing is the woman of his dreams, though he doubts the kind of woman he wants really exists. Until she shows up on the moonlit shore—mysterious, beautiful, naked, and more than willing to make all his fantasies come true.

Marina has yearned for a man like Matthew. Now that she has him, she has one chance to prove herself, and she'll do whatever it takes to bring him pleasure. Besides, his pleasure is her pleasure. But can she convince him to believe in the magic between them, or will he chalk up their encounter to a little moonlight madness?

Matt awoke to the sound of seagulls screeching above his head and the lapping of the ocean washing the beach. He reached for Marina. She wasn’t there. Slowly, he opened his eyes. He was alone—stark naked and horny as hell.

He smiled. She had probably gone for a swim. He sat up and gazed out to sea, but he couldn’t see her anywhere.

Man, she was hot. And she’d given him what he’d always wanted. Always dreamed of. Fantasized about. Hot, steamy, unrelenting mindless sex, and plenty of it. But it was more than that.

His thoughts drifted back to last night. In particular to his question that she might do this with any man who happened onto this beach. But then, there probably wouldn’t be too many of them. How many men would come here alone?

She sure enjoyed it, though, and gave as good as she got. He might have gotten lucky, but he didn’t like that other men might, in the past or in the future.

He looked out to sea once again. Still, she wasn’t there. “Must have swum around the bluff.”

Hell, he hoped she hadn’t gone out too far. There might be dangerous currents. Maybe he should go take a look. Make sure she was safe.

Voices and laughter coming from somewhere in the bushes made him sit up, quickly grab for his shorts, and cover himself. Hell, he wouldn’t want to be caught showing off his junk to gawking strangers. Especially not with such a king-sized hard-on.

With no time to slip his legs into them, he drew the shorts across his lap. The couple merely smiled and walked on. Maybe they were looking for place to have some sea-breeze sex, too. They waved to him, he waved back, and they strolled on heading in the direction of the bluff.

When they were gone, he scrambled to his feet and stepped into his shorts. There was still no sign of Marina. He looked around, realizing suddenly that her robe wasn’t there either. It seemed like his sexy woman of the night had vanished.

But she must live around here somewhere. Maybe that couple knew her, or knew of her. He decided to follow them. Ask them if they’d seen her.

When he rounded the bluff, he saw a boat at anchor and breathed a sigh of relief. That must be where she was staying. The couple, however, was nowhere in sight.

He ran down to the boat and called out, “Marina!” No reply, so he called again. “Marina!” Dead silence.

Gingerly, he climbed aboard, just to satisfy his curiosity. He probably shouldn’t, but he had to know for certain. After looking in all the cabins, the boat remained silent and empty.

He made his way back toward his beach, a strange sensation invading his gut.

When he got back, he glanced across at the second cabin. Had he been worrying himself over nothing? Had she been staying in the cabin next door, all along? He should have thought to look there first.

Sure, she was in there. She had to be. Maybe she’d gone back for some rest. She certainly deserved a break from him, even though she was the one who’d made all the moves. Maybe he should leave her alone for a while. After all, she wasn’t tied to him. She didn’t owe him anything. All they’d done was have great sex. No ties. No commitments. No promises.
